The Accreditation Council for Teaching English as a Foreign Language Courses (ACTEFLC) offers TEFL/TESL/TESOL course providers international recognition of their commitment to the highest standards of quality.

ACTEFLC Fully Accredited TEFL Course Provider status accreditation boosts the profile of an institution and confirms that the TEFL/TESOL/TESOL program offered meets high standards of education, welfare and good practice. ACTEFLC accreditation reassures students and agents that a program is a good choice, and that the program will provide them with professional teaching, valuable qualifications and a positive learning experience.

 

Employers place particular importance on job applicants and employees holding a TEFL/TESL/TESOL certificate awarded by an accredited institution. Furthermore, government institutions require that foreign teachers submit an accredited TEFL/TESL/TESOL certificate when applying for work visas. Therefore, accreditation plays an essential role within the Teaching English as a Foreign Language industry.

Our Accreditation Process allows us to assess the training provided and the institution's ability to administer their course(s) to a level of proficiency that is in line with international quality standards.

ACTEFLC accreditation assessments are carried out by industry professionals and include the following criteria:​

  • assessment of the course(s) curriculum(s) offered.

​

  • assessment of the qualifications and experience of training staff.

​

  • assessment of pre-purchase and post-purchase customer services.

​

  • assessment of training and post-training customer services.

​

  • assessment of the legal establishment of the institution and its authority to offer TEFL/TESL/TESOL courses.

​

  • assessment of the institution's internal and external administrative processes.

​

  • an on-site full assessment inspection, if applicable.

​
